Dana has always been passionate about design. When she was just 12 years old she was already selecting paint and new fabrics to design and sew for her own bedroom makeover. She spent her childhood out in west Texas in the oil town of Midland, surrounded by upscale families that owned many beautiful homes. Design was always on her mind growing up, but she pursued a degree in Education at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Tx. Funny enough, after graduating and getting her first job as a teacher, she would often have other teachers talk about her eye for color, and they would often convince her to follow them home to take a look at their design dilemmas.
Shortly after starting her job, Dana married the love of her life and moved to New Orleans to start her family. Three children were soon to come, and life was indeed lively! New Orleans did offer many exciting excursions to see the amazing architecture, museums and art galleries. And meanwhile, Dana and her husband were remodeling there own 75 year old home. She worked late into the night on her new PC with a floppy disc that had a rudimentary space plan program. Many more homes and remodels were to come over the years.
After the children were all in school, Dana started a career in real estate, hoping to get closer to her true passion. Not long after her start in real estate, many clients again pursued her expertise in homes and remodeling. So finally, after many adventures, she decided to go for yet another, her dream of becoming a designer. After design school, she gained valuable knowledge while working closely with a well known Houston interior designer, that specialized in remodeling. From concept to conception, Dana really understands the ins and outs of design and works hard to bring her designs to life!
